And another Birthday Bash in the month of March has me really abandoning my diet and reaching out for all the awesome food - starting from home-cooked food, bbq to catering and awesome cakes.
This surprise birthday party is for one of my long-lost cheer buddy: Jiayu. It has been quite some time since I last saw her because she is currently very busy with her Alvls and as she is no longer going back to Cheer, we sort of lost contact and all. But her boyfriend somehow managed to gather a few cheer buddies to give her a surprise party! Sadly, Bob was stuck at camp and couldn't make it for her birthday D:
As her house was situated in a really ulu place in Singapore, with all the private estates and condominiums there, it was quite inconvenient for Hubby and I to go to her house. In addition, it was freaking pouring on that day so we took a cab instead. Unfortunately, the cab uncle was a fucking n00b! I'm not trying to offend all taxi-uncles/aunties out there, but he was seriously one big mothafucker! First of all, before we set off, I told him Jiayu's address and asked him whether he knew how to go there ... He said he did! Then, half way through the journey, he had no fucking idea where he was going and kept making huge rounds, making the meter literally go ka-ching. WTF.
I was so pissed that I asked him whether he knew where he was going, he still insisted and in the end I just burst. I told him in Chinese: If you want extra money or tips, we can give you without a doubt, but you lying to us and making huge detours here and there, trying to cheat us of our trust, then I swear you are stripped of your integrity.
Like seriously wtf?! I don't mind giving the taxi-driver extra tips if he gets to my destination without any malicious intent of cheating both my money and my trust. Yet this particular uncle kept misplacing his so-called 'trust'. Plus, the worst part that during the long tiring journey, he kept farting in the car. At first I kept thinking it was Hubby, so I asked him. He shook his head, and I knew it was not me. So it had to be the uncle. So I sarcastically told Hubby: You know somebody in this cab keeps farting and since you told me it wasn't you, and hell I'm sure it was not me ... I wonder who else can it be. And if that person knows it in his heart, please stop fucking farting in the car. It is both diguesting, rude and very uncivilized. Soon after I let out that remark, the car started to smell fragrant for the rest of the journey.
Well of course, I scolded the driver for being uneducated and sly, in the end he only charged us lesser than what was shown on his fucking meter. But of course I knew it could be much cheaper than that. Such a crude asshole.
ANYWAYS, back to the PARTY! :) Hubby and I arrived somewhat on the dot and we met up with the rest at the function room. We didn't really have to prepare anything as Joseph pretty much had everything under control. So we just waited there for the birthday girl to arrive, and when she did, we all surprised her together, along with her relatives and family members :)
One thing I love about going to her house would be playing with her adorable puppy - Keke. As you can see her being really excited, so am I! Hahahaha.
She finally managed to calm down after Hubby held her in his arms, which was quite surprising. Lol
I know the way I'm carrying Keke is totally stupid and unprofessional of me ... but seriously, I was pretending that Keke was my baby and just practiced how to carry it etc ... HAHAHAHA.
The whole group! :) From left to right: Cheryl, Raymond, Me, Hubby, Vivian, Jiayu and Joseph!

They look like one happy family don't they? :D
Gosh, I love this photo so much! :) Hahahaha, Cheryl and I kept teasing how similar both Hubby and Raymond's personalities were, plus the fact that their minds had the exact same wavelengths. So once in a while, they pretty much had some moments which Cheryl and I thought were quite 'gay'. Thus we started calling them the 'chummy brothers'. Hahahaha :) Hubby did not want to disappoint his group of fans, which were just Cheryl and I, and decided to pose as a fragile princess in this photo. So sweet right? :D
And here we have the whole group! Charmaine and Dennis came slightly later as they had cheer training before that, but Jiayu and all of us were quite touched for them to rush down despite it being so late and them being really exhausted after training.
Here we have the muscular guys! :)

Dennis posing as the princess while the rest are his body-guards. I forgot who thought of such a wonderful idea but I felt it was such a memorable piece.
Here, we have both Raymond and Joseph all high by themselves and doing some cheer stunts. Raymond was trying out his arabesque, while Joseph was pulling his amazing scorpion! Hahaha :)
And here, Hubby is crowing Joseph as the new princess! :D
The amazing couple! They have been together for so long I am really inspired by their determination and love for each other. Despite them being out of cheer for so long, since they met in cheer, they had rekindled their love for cheer! :)
All in all, the birthday was a huge success with Joseph and his amazing bbq-ing skills. I should have bought marshmellows earlier as the previous times, I would always have marshmellows at their house events, thus gaining the title of "marshmellow jie". LOL, or was it auntie? Hummmz.
Hubby and I were super elated to be able to meet up with them after losing contact with them for so long and we thought that it was a great opportunity to get back in touch with them, and perhaps drag them back to cheer trainings? Hahahaha :)
I really enjoyed myself that night with good food, awesome fellowship and a wondrous time with everybody!
