It doesn't have to be a huge action, it doesn't have to include grandeur preparations, just a simple act of random kindness and it does wonders.
Then again, what I'm saying may just be blown out of proportion.. :P
My Hubby has always been wanting to do it, and frankly speaking I've been quite hesitant.
I don't really want to get dirty and all, but Hubby thinks its something that everybody has to succumb to sooner or later - dirty or not, it's part of life.
I've never done it before, and I'm so scared of various aspects ...Even my mother was somewhat against the idea. But with Hubby's assurance, my doubts all faded away within an instance.
But I did it :) And it was AMAZING!
So you sickos out there think that this is about sex, hell no! LOL.
Hubby and I went out to our void deck to feed some stray cats. Hubby has always been seeing stray cats roaming the void deck and sometimes he even see them fighting over some mushy-looking thing, I assume its their 'food', and Hubby felt quite sad for them.
So a few days ago, Hubby bought some cat food and just yesterday, we went down to find some stray cats to feed. It was kind of weird at first because we couldn't find any!!! All the other times, it was like the cats took the liberty to stray along to where Hubby and I were sitting and just meow-ed at us ... and this time when Hubby and I went out to look for them, they were all gone!
So we had to head quite far from my house and that was when we started finding a few stray cats roaming about. Unfortunately, even though they were stray cats, they were quite picky! Some of them didn't like the food Hubby bought and so we were like quite disappointed, but we continued searching for more cats.
Then as we were crossing the carpark, we saw this orange-white cat who was quite bold, in a sense that it didn't run away on the first sight of us approaching. We slowly took out the food and it was quite on the defensive-mode, with its body arched and all. But when it smelt the food, it simmered down and crawled slowly towards us.
And it totally gobbled up everything that was laid there for it! It practically kept licking and licking, hoping there was more of it left. And when it wanted more, it would come up to Hubby's legs and started purring and stroking its body against his legs and mine. It was super adorable!!!!! Omg, I was just melting in cuteness. Goodness gracious. Unfortunately, we didn't have any more left and it actually followed us for quite a while before it stopped.
I guess this was how it felt to be appreciated .. Hahaha :) And I just felt so happy and satisfied that some animal actually appreciated such small gestures, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Ahh shucks.
So Hubby and I thought maybe next time we should bring more food along to feed it. Hopefully we can find it again the next time! :P
Toodles~
