PAIN ... that is the only word not only stuck in my head, but in various parts of my body as well :( Okay, that sounds wrong ... BUT HEAR ME OUT!!!!
Ever since I came back from my trip, I've been working out like almost everyday!!!! :) Cause my poor abs have been reduced to a really sad vertical line across my stomach while the outer lines have all been absorbed by my amazing fats. Lol. So I've been running 4km everyday and doing weighted sit-ups. Sit-ups is probably the most basic exercise to strengthen abs, but if you want to tone it, sit-ups is not exactly as effective as other stomach exercises. That's why I carry weights while doing sit-ups. It's more of a challenge and more effective like that.
ANYWAYS, today I woke up with a very very sore stomach, which is both a good thing and bad thing :( The good thing is that, a sore pain means that my exercises are effective in training my muscles! Don't be mistaken between a sore pain and an aching pain - an aching pain mostly means you overdid your training or your method of exercising is wrong. But the bad thing is that ....... IT IS STILL PAIN! And I can't do any of my abs training without saying "eeeekkkkk". Lol.
Besides my stomach feeling pain, my throat is like FREAKING SORE now. I've been drinking lots of water these few days because of my strenuous exercises ... BUT, I still got a freaking sore throat ... And I finally realized why.
MY EFFING WISDOM TOOTH IS SPROUTING!!!! (the funny thing is that only my bottom-left wisdom tooth is sprouting ... and the others don't seem to be surfacing) And the worst part of it is that ... being 19+years old, my gum is already rock hard or what you say "fully-matured". With the new tooth, it has to 'dig' its way out of my gums from the roots. AND MY GUM HURTS LIKE HELL!!!!!!!! My gum-flesh is like slowly being ripped open for the new tooth to appear. You may ask why is it that when we were kids, and our permanent tooth was sprouting, it didn't feel painful. THAT'S BECAUSE WE WERE KIDS!!!!! Our gums are not exactly fully 'hardened' and the new tooth had space to grow into, without having to rip the gums apart. BUT IT IS DIFFERENT NOW!! WTF!!! Another thing is .. because the new tooth is pushing out of my gums, my lower gum is swollen and because of that, my upper tooth keeps grinding on whenever I close my mouth! DOUBLE PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can life be anymore excruciating?!?!?!?!?!
I told Bob about it yesterday night and he was shocked to how pain it was. He told me to quickly get it extracted. But the problem was it has not fully surfaced yet ... however I can see the shape of it had formed under my gum :( Bob was curious as to how it felt .. and my most accurate feeling I could give him was of a young dog teething ... New teeth are sprouting and I have this constant need to bite something. Seriously. Of course when I told him that, it was funny and he told me to take painkillers .. which sadly I don't like!!!! :( How sad is the world going to get?!
My whole family knew about my wisdom tooth and they kept telling me their experiences. For my elder brother, it was slightly sore, but he said it was a pain he could handle... But he had no need to extract them, because his mouth had enough space to accommodate all 4 of his wisdom teeth (yes he has a big mouth hehheh). My mother had hers extracted when she was quite old because her wisdom tooth had decayed. I've read up some articles about it and there are many more people who have the same problem of their wisdom tooth easily decaying. Because it is grown so deep inside our mouth, it is hard to brush and floss, so many people would just neglect it.
BUT the worst story was Baby's story of how he got his bottom wisdom teeth extracted. His upper jaw was big enough to let his wisdom teeth grow, but his lower jaw had no space and when they sprouted out, he said it was super painful as well and his wisdom teeth practically squeezed the rest of his bottom jaw teeth which led to major discomfort. So he wanted to get it extracted. But his wisdom teeth were not exactly fully sprouted, so his operation was quite a disturbing one.
The dentist told him that he had to first saw the gum where the wisdom teeth is sprouting and slowly smash the wisdom teeth into smaller pieces so that he can extract them and gently cut the roots/veins. Because of that the dentist let him eat some athlete medicine to get his heart-rate up really high so that the blood will be pumping at a faster rate than rest, to prevent him from slipping into a comma during the sawing of his gums. Of course they put those anesthetic medicine on his gums to make it numb and all.
But the other scary thing is that they had to strap Baby's arms across his chest like those lunatics you see on tv. This was to prevent him from suddenly jerking during the operation due to that athlete medicine. AND Baby said that he was fully awake while they operated on him, because the athlete medicine made him fully energized and the dentist said that his eyes were like opened super big during the operation. Can you just imagine how scary that feels????? D:
That's why I'm pretty freaked out by the whole thing and I'm really really dreading this feeling :( it's like last night I kept wanting to bite stuff and Baby was afraid that I might further hurt my gums, so he gave me his finger to bite on. Of course it felt slightly better! It was really gracious of him :) Arghhhh. I guess the good thing is that having such acute pain in my gums sort of diminished my appetite and it was helpful towards my diet since I don't feel like eating so often. But it is still PAIN! D':
It's like I also have no mood to do anything but to just keep chomping my jaws and biting things. Thank God I had my parents around. They gave me this medicine where I just have to apply it on my 'itching' gums, and tadah, it was numb! The pain slowly faded away to my delight, unfortunately, because I kept playing with the 'medicine in my mouth, my mouth became numb ... and I couldn't talk properly. So last night I was just literally flapping my gums whenever I talk. Hahahahahaha! Baby also let me watch Real Steel on his MacBook to help me keep my mind off my gums and it was quite effective! :D
Besides the pain and all, it was quite troublesome all in all ... I couldn't talk properly without feeling my gums rubbing against each other, I couldn't brush my teeth without feeling pain on my lower gums, I couldn't keep it from stop itching etc ... But the worst part was sleeping. I had to freaking sleep with my mouth opened. And to prevent me from drooling on my pillow, I had to place a freaking handkerchief under my mouth and I actually bit my pillow to sleep! How embarrassing .... Oh the horror.
Thank goodness most of the pain faded away today and I'm thinking of visiting a dentist in a few days time when my mother is free. But I can still feel my gums rubbing against each other whenever I close my jaw fully. So I have to adjust myself to open my mouth 24/7 .... So I basically look like this :O SERIOUSLY HOW STUPID.
Oh wells, here is me wishing all those people who are expecting their wisdom tooth to come out any time soon! Toodles~ :(
