" Swarovski Collection "
I've finally bought a Swarovski crystal for Baby's mother :) It's a small gift which I hope she likes because I took ages to find/choose and after much contemplating, I've decided to go for the rose. And Baby was behind me supporting me all the way. Of course we took pictures of it because I'm quite happy with the purchase, and this is just a gift of appreciation for her - for those who didn't know, she took very good care of me during my last visit to China and she made sure that all my needs were met. Knowing that I'm a super picky eater and a person of very difficult tastes, she went through great lengths to assure that I had a comfortable stay in Nanjing. And I really felt at home with her around, so this is something which to repay her kindness, generosity and selfless attitude when taking care of such a difficult person like me :) Somehow she reminds me of my own mother! One who doesn't complain, one who puts in great effort to raise a family, and one who really puts her needs aside to satisfy others. When we left Nanjing last year, I was crying like crazy when she and Baby's father sent us off at the airport. Baby was trying his best to hold back his tears while I was crying like some lunatic girl, and even when I'm thousand feet above ground, I was still crying. LOL. Only when I saw my own mother then I finally felt calm inside. It would be quite a blast if both Baby and my mother met face to face. Hahaha, I bet they would bond like sisters (if you were to put aside the factor of encountering a language barrier LOL)!
But I felt bad for not buying anything for my mother, so Baby and I made a pact to buy something nice for 'alternate mothers' every year. For example, this year I bought something for his mother, so next year the both of us would work together and buy something on par for my mother. Then the following year would be dedicated to Baby's mother and so on and so forth. Then I brought up the issue about our fathers - shouldn't we buy something for our fathers too? Baby laughed and said that women are more sensitive about receiving presents than men, so there is no need to buy anything for them. LOL. So mean right? But I kind of agree. Hahaha, my dad is the kind of guy who doesn't see a need to celebrate his own birthday! And even if we were to buy presents for him, he would thank us, but he would say that there is no need to use our money to buy him gifts. I guess he wants us to save instead of spending on him :P Still, I thank him for earning and sacrificing so much for my mother and the family :) Without him, there won't be shelter over our heads, no food on the table, and no money to go shopping (T.T) and most importantly no mentor to teach us the values of life. So all in all, I thank both my parents for being awesome daddy and mummy! :D
Anyways, I'm side-tracking ... LOL. Here are the pictures of the crystal. Pardon the bad photo-taking, because the crystal was like reflecting damn a lot of light, so practically it looks quite blur on most of the pictures :P Which brings me to another funny story. At the store, when the salesgirl asked us to check for any uneven areas on the crystal, Baby and I were like blinded by the glare of the crystal. IT WAS FREAKING SHINY - proves the awesome workmanship of Swarovski crystals :)
The contrast between the red ribbon and the blue bag is quite cute actually :)
Here is the box! Pardon my luggage in the background, I couldn't find a nicer place to put the box on LOL :P
And here is the rose crystal! It may seem somewhat small here but it's more like medium-sized. LOL. I love how the rose is combined with the leaves in the background, just makes it ever more realistic :)
And here is another angle-shot of it :) Even the padding inside the box is shiny! Omg :P
I love Swarovski, even my mother loves it. So I guess maybe her gift next year would be Swarovski as well? Thinking of getting her jewelry, but definitely not from Tiffany&Co, because I don't really like their selections(with a few exceptions) or maybe I'm more biased towards Swarovski. Haha :P
That's all for this post :) My next post would be about CHEER! But this time I'm not involved in it ... but it still rocks cause my darling daughter is in it! :D Hahahaha :)
Toodles~
