I'm finally back in SINGAPORE! *cues applause* Heehee :) My holiday has been cut short (was supposed to come back on the 15th of January) because after missing out so many events with my family, I thought I must not miss out this one. And this event is none other than my grandmother's birthday :) So anyways, I will post more about my grandmother's birthday after celebrating it! :D And Baby was super gracious about it. Even though the time he spent with his family was super short, he still agreed to come back early. But we will be back earlier than before! Normally we would visit his family every end of the year as I had to attend school. But now I'm no more schooling (waiting upon my As results), I can travel anywhere and anytime I want, of course before my Uni year starts :P So we are going back to Nanjing on the 5th month to attend his childhood/best friend's wedding! And as most of his friends are already getting married this year due to the incoming 2012-End-Of-The-World-Hocus-Pocus, he is the only one left unmarried and he says that his married years are being delayed thanks to me! LOL. GEE THANKS? As a result of being the only unmarried one among his group of friends, he has become the best man of his best friend's wedding! Hahaha I was supposed to be the bridesmaid, but I realized that it would be REALLY HARD as there will be a HUGE language barrier. Hahahaha, so they have to choose another girl to be the bridesmaid :) Of course the duration of us attending the wedding will also include visiting his family and relatives!
Besides going over to Nanjing on the 5th month, Baby and I will also be going to Thailand with a few of our good couple friends :) Raymond + Cheryl, ShiHui + her boyfriend and us! :D It's like a triple-dating-holiday! Hahahaha. So after Nanjing, we will return to Singapore for about one week before taking off to Thailand for good food and good shopping! :) And I'm soooo going to get fat again :( Sobs* But it will be an awesome holiday! :) In addition, we didn't get to go Japan last year according to our plans, because Baby didn't manage to apply for his visa :( Sadness. But we are thinking of going either Japan or UK this year with his parents. But everything is just in the process of planning and seeing how things turn out because of unforeseen circumstances. The only two trips that has been set and confirmed are the trips to Nanjing and Thailand :D Hooray!
Anyways, my trip to Nanjing was amazing ... I managed to finally come out (slightly) of my language barrier and could communicate with Baby's friends. Even though my Chinese-accent was something they were not accustomed to, they still managed to understand! Double Hooray! HAHAHAHA :) Baby also brought me to meet more of his friends and their wives. And they are all super nice people! It is quite amazing that they had managed to keep in touch even after so many years! Because most of his friends are his primary school friends and they stayed in the same class all the way to secondary school. And even after most of them graduated from University and got a stable job, they still continued keeping in touch with Baby who is all the way here in Singapore. They really are one tight bunch! :D Besides meeting up with his friends, I did lots of shopping! Like overloaded shopping ... I had to take out all my winter clothing and leave them at Baby's hometown, while packing all my new clothes in it... And guess what? My luggage weighed 5kg more than the usual one with all my winter clothing. AND, one piece of winter clothing is heavier than a normal casual piece, so you can really see how much I've shopped in Nanjing!!! And after unpacking my luggage and placing all my new clothes into my wardrobe, my clothes have been stacked to the ceiling of my wardrobe and my wardrobe is quite high; almost touching the ceiling of my room. So yes, I've much problems trying to close my wardrobe door. Baby didn't shop much but he bought new clothes for Chinese New Year! Hahah and he only shopped because his Secondary School English Teacher forced him to! Yes he even kept in contact with his English teacher because he left quite a huge impact on Baby. And his English teacher really likes to shop! Which was awesome because he introduced me to some of the more high-end shops in Nanjing :)
After shopping so much in Nanjing, I felt really really exhausted and I've practically squeezed out a lot of my shopping-juice which means that I'm not going to do much shopping in Singapore (naturally to Baby's delight!). Hahahaha :) In addition, I'm going to devote more of my time into baking/cooking, exercising/losing weight and working. I'm currently Baby's secretary, and I'm somehow going to be an English tuition teacher for his students ... which is quite LOL. Hahaha. The pay is good + I get commissions (according to him), so I guess it beats working in an office everyday! Even so, this won't be my permanent job since I'm hoping I could open a Cafe with my mother as it has been her long-time dream. Not only that, Baby has many connections which enables us to be able to open a Cafe with not much problems/difficulties. Of course this is something long-tern which my mother has to consider since she is still working as a teacher in some private school. So she told me to wait till the end of the first term before she can really put much thought into opening the Cafe :) In addition, Baby is also still working hand-in-hand with one of his most successful clients and I'm praying that the application of their work permit will be a success as this will definitely open many doors for Baby's career :) Being his secretary, I'm also helping out a bit in terms of translating and writing different emails etc, which is quite fun actually! Hahahaha.
So well, that is most of what I've in store for this year 2012, which I hope will be a much smoother year compared to last year which was quite a huge ball of stress for me :( Toodles~!
PS: My Prada bag has been customized and accessorized to look even better and less common like the other Prada bags :)
