champouf posted Hotpot BBQ! on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 " With light, one blossoms a new chapter. " This is a rather special post, mainly because I feel that it ties Baby and I together even deeply. I've met many of Baby's clients, his family, his relatives, but somehow I don't really know his friends except for a few like Raymond, my own elder brother etc ... It is like I can read every page of his life-book, but a part of it is just locked away. And finally I got a chance to open that particular chapter :) Baby's old Gusto friends are meeting for a hotpot-bbq and I'm really honored to be invited!! :D Raymond brought Cheryl a few times for their outings, but somehow I always have something on whenever Baby tried to invite me too. This time was different!!!! Yay :D They all wanted to meet 11am at Shihui's house which was situated at Novena. Unfortunately for me, I overslept once again and I took 3 hours to get ready +makeup on. A real terror I tell you. Baby almost dozed off at the computer waiting for me to get ready. 1hr to bathe, 1hr to choose/mix&match clothes, last hr to makeup. Heehee :S In the end we cabbed down to her house and reached about 2pm, and surprisingly ... we were the first ones there!! LOL!! Just imagine the shock on Baby's face when we walked up to the floor and nobody was there! Hahahaha classic I tell you~ But yea, they were actually shopping for groceries .... hahahahaha :) Anyways, Raymond, Cheryl, Shihui and Vanessa came up soon and we started to prepare the food for hotpot - cutting, washing, 摆美美 etc. While preparing, Zhihao swaggered in with sunglasses and I was like "woah, look like some korean superstar!" hahahaha and he really looked like one! Clarence, Vanessa and her boyfriend, Luther, strutted in before we began, and when everybody got together, it began! Baby brought this Johnnie Walker to a steamboat party .... Wth right!!! :/ So this is Shihui's condo. Super beautiful right???? Omg. The swimming pool and bbq pit are located on the 6th floor, but the whole condo is filled with greenery.. It just feels like having a steamboat with nature.. HAHAHA WTH am I saying! Rayray says he must pose with the fish to make it look like he did a lot of work........ Men logic! Hahahaha. But it does make sense.. Hmmmz. Another shot of Shihui's condo. Amazing right??? Shucks* Fake butterfly, real plants. Ray was saying how awesome it was to live on the same floor as the swimming pool .. the person can just jump over the ledge and dive into the pool. LOL. FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD~ Haha can tell he can't wait to dig in :O I don't know why, but this picture is just funny at all angles :) ~Left to right~ Top: Zhihao, Clarence, Luther, Raymond, Chen Cheng Bottom: Shihui, Cheryl, Vanessa, Kathe, MOI! I like this picture mainly because Baby looks like a monkey! :D Another 全家福 (they call it that so cute right! LOL). And the funny thing about it is that everybody keeps saying we must do one serious shot and one funny shot, but then everybody ends up doing something different. There would be times when the girls would all smile but the guys would all have their serious-expressions on and vice versa!!! It was just super hilarious. We all don't have chemistry de. Hahaha And that concludes my hotpot day with gusto pioneers! It was super fun even though I didn't speak much... that was because I kept laughing at the others' jokes, especially Zhihao ... He is so comical! Hahaha :) Anyways, after that, Shihui accompanied everybody to the MRT where we bought Gongcha along the way. Ray recommended some green tea winter melon milk tea with pudding and pearls. It sounds like a heck-load of ingredients ... but it was SUPERB. LIKE OMG my taste buds literally went into orgasm. Heh. After going on our own separate ways, Baby brought me to Bugis to cut his hair and sadly the salon was closed for CNY ...... so we ended up walking about Bugis Junction and I bought myself two fashion/makeup magazines~ Heehee. I also got myself a new pair of slippers cause my old one was too torn to be seen!!!!! D: At night, Baby brought me to see his new clients and Baby spent the whole time talking them into sending their kids into Singapore to study while I sat beside him nodding my head in agreement. Hahaha :P Well, that concludes my day~ It was pretty hectic but super worth it, because I get to spend it with Baby :) And the best thing is that I feel more connected with him since now I got to know a few of his good buddies and his new clients.
