Celebrated Father's Day on Sunday with my family.
Before that, I went to get my white Iphone 4 with Baby~! Heehee.
Then after going to the Apple Store and getting my screen protector fixed, we quickly rushed back home just in time for the steamboat + bbq!
Thank goodness all the 好料 are still there.
Had smoked salmon, beef, thick juicy prawns and my favourite fishball!
My dad also did something new and instead of putting the whole egg inside the soup to cook it, he cracked the shell open and just poured everything in it.
The result of that was ... SUPERB!
:D
I skipped eating the liver because I don't eat anything like that .. it is just weird.
But I can totally see Baby gorging it down .. hahaha silly boy!
After steamboat + bbq, we had durians for dessert.
WEIRD I KNOW! But awesome~
Daddy bought a few good ones and a few sour ones which was totally offsetting.
But my mother loved the sour ones ....... sheeesh. Hahaha :P
The photos are still in Baby's iphone, so I keep forgetting to upload them!!!
Shall do it asap when he comes back home.
I also watched the Green Lantern yesterday with Baby :)
Was not as good as I expected it would be ... so to put it in simpler terms, it was somewhat quite disappointing.
Maybe I say that because I'm basing this entire movie against X-Men First Class.
Green Lantern has a good storyline, simple to understand, but I felt it hardly had any nice shocks to it like X-Men.
X-Men may seem simple but there are quite a few twists to the plot like how Erik and Charles became such good friends yet they still ended up as enemies etc.
Or how Charles helped Erik unlocked his fullest potential to only realize that he would use it against him one day.
So all these tiny little details are what counts for a sturdy, complete, amazing storyline.
Green Lantern somewhat misses these out.
Like how Hal actually kept recalling how his dad died in the first part, but later on they just somewhat totally didn't mention about the dad anymore. Maybe it might not seem like a really important part, but they should just briefly mention how Hal perhaps stopped thinking of his father's death as a nightmare but more of a motivation etc?
Based on action, drama and visual effects, GL sure has them.
You can see how planet earth was almost completely destroyed by a huge massive 'storm-cloud-look-alike-thingy' who sucks people's life-force+fears.
But the fight between Hal and this bad guy was a really short fight compared to X-Men with their final battle when they were in the cross-roads of the Allied vs Axis.
That fight was quite long and every moment of it was just filled with such breath-taking effects that compels you to hang on to your seats tightly.
Well, I shall not spoil anymore for those who haven't watched either movies.
Despite me seeming so against GL, I still think it is a good show to catch, and you might want to stick around after the movie ... There is like an added segment to the entire movie.
But for X-Men, it is a DEFINITELY A GOOD SHOW NOT TO MISS! So you better watch it! Hahaha.
Now, Baby is bugging me as to why I didn't watch X-Men with him instead, and I feel so bad because he knows that it was just super mind-blowing.
And that is all for my post today.
Hahahaha.
Toodles~
