" A rose & a pendant ... my heart & soul . "
I'm finally back from China! :) Haha. Yes. 2 weeks have flown past me in a flash. I was really quite sad that I couldn't stay there longer because I really like ChenCheng's family. They are really heart-warming and caring towards me, especially his mother! So instead of blogging about my 2 long weeks in China, I've decided to dedicate this post to ChenCheng's family and of course him as well! :D Heehee.
When I first arrived in Nanjing (宝贝's hometown), I was greeted warmly by his uncle and parents. Even though our flight was delayed by one hour and we arrived 3 hours later than the designated time, they still waited for us there. They are really amazing people. Then 宝贝's uncle drove us back to their house which took about 1hour from the airport to their house. Upon reaching, 宝贝brought me out again to find where his old friends were, and got their contact numbers. Later on, we met with his entire family, including relatives and we had dinner. 宝贝's mother sat beside me and she made sure I was well fed, of course 宝贝also made sure that the food on my plate was suited for my picky taste. And then after dinner, we took a whole family portrait! :)

And a picture with his parents! :)
I'm a person who is really picky, stubborn etcetc (and the list goes on forever ... haha) but 宝贝's mother made sure that all my needs were met! The weather there is like super cold which sometimes it can go down to as cold as 6degrees celcius. And coming from a HOT country like Singapore who has only one season all year round, I'm not accustomed to such cold climate, but she made sure that I was kept warm throughout. She would take her coat and put it over me so that I would not feel cold, or she will make sure that I'm wearing THICK socks so that my feet won't feel icy cold. To add on, I heard from 宝贝that she isn't in tip-top condition ... she has a bone sticking out from her back which makes it hard and pain for her in any situation, and as such, one of her arms isn't as strong as the other. Most of the time when she wakes up, half of her body will be numb and this is really a painful scenario to undergo. Yet she puts in double the effort in whatever she is doing to make sure I felt like home. And because their weather is like super hot, their toilet is really high tech! They have this toilet bowl that helps flushes your butt, and the seat will automatically warm up for you so that when you sit on it, you won't have to freeze your butt off. Hahaha. And they have this warmer thingy that helps warm up the whole bathroom so that when you finish bathing, you won't feel so cold in the bathroom while changing. I don't know how to work that machine so 宝贝explained it to me first before he went to meet up with his buddies. Then his mother and father actually waited up all night just for me to bathe and I was using the computer this whole while. Omg. I felt really bad for making them wait so long. Until 宝贝came home and he asked why I haven't gone to bathe... Gosh. That's what I meant by them being really caring :)
Cooking - she knew that I'm not used to eating their food over there, and on just one accord which I mentioned subtly that I liked eating the Japanese mushroom Shiitake, she especially cooked a really delicious soup that consisted of nothing but Shiitake! And it was just superb! Yummmmm :) The best and most heart-warming thing I've ever ate in China. It's even better than the 小笼包over there! Hahaha. Then I also did mention I loved eating seaweed, and then once more, she especially cooked seaweed for me. She really cared for me from top to bottom.
Shopping - It's practically the air I breathe no matter where I go. Without shopping, I'm dead. Haha. And she sponsored most of my shopping trips. Like she bought a pair of Zara shoes for me on my first day of shopping! At first I didn't know it was her money, because 宝贝was the one who paid for it. Then on the last day, 宝贝told me everything! I was really shocked. He also told me that she gave him about 3K for shopping etc. Of course he didn't use it. He gave it back to her in the end (something which I will elaborate later). And when we went to Shanghai with his parents, she wanted to pay for everything I bought. Like a Zara blouse which I fell in love with, she took it and pay it. I felt really bad, and wanted 宝贝to snatch the blouse away from her so that I can pay it for myself, but she insisted on paying for me. And when I bought about $500+ worth of H&M stuff, she paid it all for me, even when I wanted to buy it for my mother. I felt really bad and in the end, 宝贝and I devised a plan to pay her back the money. He put the 3k into an envelope and I also put in the $$ along with his and I wrote a short note for her too. And we put the envelope into her bag. When his parents sent us off at the airport, just before we went through the gate, 宝贝told her about it :) Hahaha. It was quite fun!
Our vacation in Shanghai and Nanjing are practically about 90% sponsored by her. She made sure that we all had fun out and about. It was really touching :)
Of course I've to thank 宝贝for taking good care for me too! Whenever we ate something, he would explain to me what it was and when I didn't like it, he just told me to throw it into his plate and he will help me with it. Hahaha. He was looking out for me 24/7! Hahaha. And wherever we went, we took taxi, because he told me that the public transport there is like super cramped and ... yucky in a sense ... Hahahaha. The roads there in China are totally different from Singapore. According to what 宝贝told me, he said that there are no doubts that there are traffic lights there in China, but practically nobody follows the traffic rules there at all. So you can believe it, when I say the roads there are a killer. Hahaha. And he made sure that I was kept safe and sound so that I could return to Singapore in one whole piece! Hahaha :P To add on to what I've said about the weather there being chilly cold, 宝贝too made sure that I was kept warm and healthy throughout. In the end, he was the one who fell ill, because he looked out for me without looking out for himself. It was quite torturous because at first he couldn't breathe properly at all and he was basically coughing like a mad man most of the time. He couldn't climb more than 3flights of stairs because it was too exhausting on his lungs, and he couldn't laugh either! It's really really bad. But I was fine throughout the whole journey because he took care of me super well :) I love you 宝贝and thanks for sacrificing for me!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
All in all, the trip in China was superb! :) I enjoyed every moment of it, but the one thing I enjoyed most was my stay at Nanjing with 宝贝and his parents :D They are super nice and awesome people. And frankly speaking, I really really like them a lot! So much so that at the airport, before we left through the gate, I started crying because I was going to miss them a lot. 宝贝's mother cried too, because she is going to miss her son dearly and upon seeing that, I continued crying. Hahaha it was really hard to keep my tears back. Throughout my flight back home to Singapore, I would cry now and then, because I already miss them so much! :( 宝贝cried too when he left his house, but he made sure that his mother didn't see him crying. At the airport, when we were about to board to plane, he also cried too, along with me! Hahaha :P It was really an emotional day for all of us T.T So we promised his parents that we will be back next year after my Alvls :D He told them to take good care of themselves so that we can go more places instead of Shanghai. I'm really anticipating for it! :) I guess the thing I miss the most in China is probably staying at his house, and spending time with his parents. They are really awesome people and I will definitely return back to China to see them again :D

A picture of the 4 of us together, enjoying the beautiful scenery in Shanghai :D
